Making and mounting the LED modules

I cut a bunch of triangles out of cardboard, made a little template in qcad for the 6 holes of the led module to go through. Use a needle to mark the holes and punch through.

I’ve bought some ws2812 led’s a while ago on ebay, they are pre-mounted on a little pcb. that pcb has 6 little solderpads, ready to solder wires to. Adding those wires turns them into through-hole components 🙂
